Marlins Host “FSU Day” at Site of Old Orange Bowl

The NL East, last place Miami Marlins have taken a page out of the Dolphins’ playbook, and have invited Miami Hurricanes rival, FSU to celebrate on the site of the Orange Bowl (RIP).

As many Canes fans will recall, the slumping Dolphins previously hosted a reunion for the 2009 Florida Gators National Championship Team during the Broncos/Jesus Tebow game of 2011.  Well, now the Marlins, 26 games out of first place; playing in a stadium paid for by the City of Miami and the Miami tax payers; on the site of the former Orange Bowl (RIP), is hosting  “FSU Day” in hopes of selling a few extra tickets.

According to the Marlins’ website:

“The Miami Marlins invite Seminole alumni and fans to Marlins Park on Sunday, August 18th, at 1:10 pm to watch the Marlins tAverage Joesake on FSU alumnus Buster Posey and the San Francisco Giants!  Purchase a special FSU Day ticket package and receive a FREE Garnet & Gold Marlins hat!”

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.  What say you #CanesFam?
